Ruth M. Eschelbach Mrs. Eschelbach, 89, of Red Bank, died June 6, 2009, at home. She was a former secretary for the borough of Red Bank, and borough clerk from 1979 until retiring in 1987. She was a former member of the Red Bank Zoning Board, and former member and president for 25 years of the library board. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph O. Eschelbach; four brothers, Edward and Henry Mc- Cormick, and Charles and Francis P. O'Gorman Jr.; and an infant son, Michael. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and James J. Plumaker of Red Bank, Barbara and Robert Reutter of Toms River, and Rosemary and Paul Gleitz of Cape Coral, Fla.; three sons and one daughter-inlaw, Arthur F. Eschelbach of Trenton, Paul Eschelbach of West Long Branch, and Dr. Matthew and Jeanine Eschelbach of Bend, Ore.; a sister, Agnes Flagg of Atlanta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
