Thrift boutique marks first year

EATONTOWN — Monmouth Medical Center Foundation will celebrate the first anniversary of its Once Again Thrift Boutique in high style with a "Chic Boutique" luncheon fashion show featuring the clothing and accessories for sale at the Eatontown store.

Chic Boutique will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Branches, West Long Branch. In addition to the fashion show, the event will feature a 50/50 cash raffle, chance auction and vendor sales.

"We are hosting Chic Boutique to celebrate our inaugural year and to raise awareness in the community about the store, which raises funds for the foundation," said Tiffany Cioffi, manager of retail operations for the foundation, in a press release.

Students from the Vincent S. Mastro Montessori Academy in Little Silver and their siblings will model the children's clothing, and also by volunteers, Monmouth Medical Center supporters and employees.

All clothing and accessories featured during the show are from the boutique, and all the items modeled will be for sale after the show.

The Once Again Thrift Boutique opened in a Victorian-style home at 152 Main St. in Eatontown on June 12, 2008, to raise funds to support programs and services at Monmouth Medical Center.

Hours for the thrift boutique are: Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Cost of the luncheon is $45, and all proceeds benefit the boutique.
