Sean Kean elected to environmental position

Sean Kean
LONG BRANCH — State Sen. Sean Kean (R-11th District) has been elected to serve as a director on the board of the Republicans for Environmental Protection.

The group, known as REP America, is a national nonprofit organization that was founded in 1995 to preserve and protect the environment.

"I have been closely involved with REP America for many years and am honored to have the opportunity to serve as a director on their board," said Kean. "I plan to use my position to aid in their mission of supporting responsible environmental policies."

REP America's mission statement states that the organization was founded "to resurrect the GOP's great conservation tradition and to restore natural resource conservation and sound environmental protection as fundamental elements of the Republican Party's vision for America."

"This organization strives to conserve America's resources in order to protect the environment and the economy," Kean said. "REP America has been a powerful advocate in protecting the environment, and I look forward to assisting them in their efforts."

REP America's efforts include fighting for energy conservation, global warming prevention, clean air and water, and conservation lands.

"It is important that we act now to protect the environment for future generations to enjoy," Kean said.

Kean maintains an office with Assemblyman Dave Rible and Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini at 1955 Route 34, Building 2A, in Wall, and can be reached at 732-974-0400.
