Eatontown to host community cleanup event

The Pride in Eatontown Committee is scheduled to hold its annual Community Clean-Up onMay 18. The event will start at 2 p.m. behind the Eatontown Fire House on Broad Street.

All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend the two-hour event.Attendees will be supplied with protective gloves, garbage bags and rakes.

Teams of workers will be transported by bus to specific areas identified by the committee as in need of cleaning up during the two-hour event.

"Eatontown is a highly traveled community, intersected by four major highways," saidDan Bretzger Pride in Eatontown Committee chairman.

"The Pride of inEatontownCommittee is pleased to sponsor this year's Community Clean-Up day as part of our effort to maintain the appearance of our town."

The committee hosts meetings on the firstWednesday of everymonth at 7 p.m. at borough hall.
