Richard E. Garley

Mr. Garley, 81, of Spring Lake, and formerly Rumson, died April 23, 2008, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a retired partner at the law firm of Gersen, Lipson and Garley, New York City, and also a certified public accountant. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory David Garley; a daughter, Jane Maura Garley; and his wife, Colleen Payne Garley. He is survived by two sons and daughters in-law, Scott and Janet Garley of Little Silver, and Thomas and Elizabeth Garley of Shrewsbury; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathleen and John Goullet of Rumson, and Kelly Garley of Eatontown; two brothers, Edward Carlton of Rumson, and the Rev. Maurice Carlton of Highbridge; and 10 grandchildren.A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Cross Church, Rumson. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by ThompsonMemorial Home, Red Bank.
