Dressmaker accused of sexual contact

OCEAN TOWNSHIP - A township dressmaker was arrested last week after a female customer reported that the male dressmaker touched her inappropriately during a fitting.

The victim told police that while she was being fitted for a dress, the dressmaker made inappropriate comments to her and touched her in an inappropriate manner, according to police reports.

Further investigation into the report led police to arrest Armand A. Danino, 65, of Ocean Township. Danino was charged with one count of criminal sexual contact and was released on his own recognizance by Superior Court Judge Paul Chaiet pending a court hearing, according to reports.

Danino runs a dressmaking business from his residence on Norwood Avenue.
