Art show, expo slated at SCAN center during May

Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN), Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, will celebrate Older American Month with an "Aging With Grace" art show May 5-30. Artists age 50 and older will display talent at the juried all-media show.

An art show and expo will be held May 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the rotunda area near the food court. More than 30 senior service exhibitors will be showcased. The free event is open to the public and there will be giveaways and door prizes. For more information, call Beth at (732) 542-1326, ext. 12.

The Monmouth County Regional Health Commission will sponsor a health blood-screening program 8-11 a.m.May 14 at SCAN offices. The cost is $36 for an occult blood test (for colon cancer), $34 for blood chemistry test including iron, and $21 for a prostate cancer test. Individuals must fast from midnight until blood is drawn; no juice, coffee or tea, only water before the test. Prepayment and preregistration is required.
