Boro celebrates Arbor Day
West Long Branch residents and members of the Borough Shade Tree Commission gathered at Franklin Lake Park on April 26 for Arbor Day festivities. The event was part of the borough's yearlong Centennial Celebration. Approximately 40 people attended the festivities where there was a dedication of a borough butterfly garden, a bird-watching expedition and the planting of a Kanzan Cherry Tree as the borough's Centennial Tree.
