Borough to host historic homes tour
The West Long Branch Centennial Committee is scheduled to host a "Centennial House Tour" on April 12 at 10 a.m. The event features a tour of historical locations throughout the borough.

Residents participating in the tour are asked tomeet at the FrankAntonides School on Locust Avenue at 10 a.m. Participants will have the opportunity to view projects at the school that were completed by students and pertain to the borough's centennial.

The tour includes visits to the Old First United Methodist Church museum and graveyard on Monmouth Road, the California Cottage on Cedar Avenue, the Woolley Owens Farm on Wall Street, Cottage Number Eight onHollywoodAvenue and the LittleWhite Farm House onWestonWay.

Stops will also be made at the Guggenheim Library and Woodrow Wilson Hall located on theMonmouthUniversity campus.

In addition to visiting historical locations throughout the borough,West Long Branch residents are also invited to attend a centennial presentation at Shore RegionalHigh School from 1-4 p.m.

The presentation will include photographs and displays fromthe past 100 years and a demonstration by various borough organization on activities fromthroughout the past century.

Tickets for the tour cost $25 for adults and $20 for seniors and can be purchased at borough hall, the Starfish gift shop or the FarmHouse clothing store. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of the event for $35. Formore information, contact Debbie Smith at (732) 547-7233.
