MU to host 24-hour music fest

Monmouth University will host its "WMCX 24-hour Music Fest" starting at noon April 4 and continuing until noon April 5. Every hour a band will play live in the campus studio for 45 minutes and then be interviewed for 15 minutes.

The show will open with Racing Kites, with 23 bands following, including Lexington Down, Quimby Mountain Band, A Diary ofNeed, Eric Ginsberg, DJAndrosko, America Loves Herman and Goat Casket.

The music fest is student run, and students will run the soundboards, organize the bands, set the schedule, interview the bands and run the entire festival.Arequest line will be open throughout the show at (732) 571-3493, as well as on AOL Instant Messenger at screen name wmcxrequest.
