Kindergarten registration packets ready March 25

The Township of Ocean School District will hold kindergarten registration for the 2008-09 school year April 9-11 from 9- 11:30 a.m. at each of the district's three elementary schools. Registration packets will be available at the main office of each school starting March 25.

Children must be 5 years of age by Oct. 15, 2008, to be eligible for school in September. The child should be present at this registration. Needed at registration are: an official birth certificate (hospital birth certificate not acceptable); record of immunizations from the child's physician; and proof of residency in the form of a lease, deed, property tax bill or contract of sale and a utility bill. For apartments, residents must also obtain a residence verification form from the management office.

Individuals unable to attend registration may take the child to one of the following schools to register at a later date:April 9, Ocean Township Elementary School, 555 Dow Ave., Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, (732) 531-5690;April 10, Wanamassa Elementary School, 901 Bendermere Ave., (732) 531-5700; and April 11, Wayside Elementary School, 733 Browne Road, Ocean, (732) 531-5710.
