Police break up keg party

OCEAN TOWNSHIP - An anonymous phone call to the township Police Department led to the arrest of three men who were throwing a party at the home they rent on Beecroft Place.

Another 30 partygoers were issued summonses for underage drinking, according to police reports.

On Feb. 16 at approximately 12:15 a.m., police received a report of a loud party taking place at the Beecroft Place residence, according to police reports.

Detective Gregory Schenck, who was working the Ocean Township Police Department Quality of Life Patrol, responded to the scene and observed a party taking place, according to reports.

Schenck uncovered two kegs of beer, numerous partially consumed empty cups of beer and a table set up to play drinking games inside the residence.

Two bottles of vodka were also found set on top of a block of ice, which had a chute carved into it for consuming the vodka as it was poured from the top, according to reports.

Police arrested the following three tenants of the residence; Monmouth University student Sean Pallone, 20, of Garwood; Frank Gillam, 21, of Williamstown, and Angel Mendoza, 20, of Kearny.

The three renters were charged with providing alcoholic beverages to underage persons, according to reports.

Also arrested was partygoer Marc Thompson, 19, of Chatham. Thompson was charged with disorderly conduct, according to reports.

Police issued township ordinance violations to 30 attendees at the party for drinking underage, according to police reports.
