Register by March 12 for 'Sgt. Pat's 5K' run, walk

Jersey Shore Running Club (JSRC) will present the "Sgt. Pat's 5K" race and two-mile fitness walk, and kids' races March 22 at 11 a.m. at Windmill Restaurant, Ocean Avenue, Long Branch. The event benefits Policemen's BenevolentAssociation Local 10, Holiday Express, HABcore Inc., and the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County.

The 5K begins at 11 a.m., the walk at 11:05 a.m., and kids' races at 11:45 a.m. Registration received before March 12 is $17 and $20 thereafter, and $7 and $10, respectively, for kids' races. Free T-shirts are guaranteed to preregistered participants only. Various awards will be given, as well as random prize drawings.
