Anthony S. Caruso

Mr. Caruso, 77, of Neptune, and formerly the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died Feb. 12, 2008, at home. He was manager of technical writing for the Signal Corps, Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, and worked on classified projects such as the Patriot Missile Project. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Neil West of the Wayside section of Ocean Township; two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony R. and Marisa Caruso ofWest Allenhurst, and Thomas and Kathy Caruso of Oakhurst; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park. Entombment with military honors was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
