Joseph Patrick Gaddis Mr. Gaddis, 52, of Long Branch, died Jan. 3, 2008, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born at MacDill Air Force Base, Hillsborough, Fla., he resided in Puerto Rico prior to relocating to Long Branch in 1975. He was an independent truck driver, most recently contracted with J.B. Hunt. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard, 42nd Infantry Rainbow Company, and recently completed a tour in Iraq with Company D 250th Brigade. He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was senior vice commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2140, Long Branch, and member of the Cooties. He was predeceased by his parents, Elinor and Clyde Gaddis; and a brother, Charles. He is survived by a son, John Paul of Texas; a brother, Paul of Brick; a sister, Dorine Frances Loyd of West Virginia; his fiancée, Jeanine Sintic of Long Branch; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
