Tourette Syndrome Assoc. offers scholarship

The Tourette Syndrome Association of New Jersey (TSANJ), Somerville, is accepting applications for the 2008 TSANJ ScholarshipAward, with application deadline March 28.

The scholarship award will be presented to a New Jersey resident who is a public or private high school senior, has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome, and will be attending college or trade school in the fall. The recipient will be selected based on academic record, recommendations, and a written essay or audio or videotape demonstrating the individual's talents. This is the only scholarship available in the nation for students with TS.

Tourette syndrome is an inherited neurological disorder that is manifested in involuntary physical and vocal tics. To apply for the scholarship, call TSANJ at (908) 575-7350 or visit www.tsanj.org.
