Chamber of Commerce to hold awards dinner

The Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce will honor John and Linda Brockriede at its 74th annual Business Awards Dinner on March 1 at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa on Ocean Boulevard.

The Long Branch couple will receive the chamber's Louis G. Libutti Community Service Award in recognition of their 40-year record of civic leadership, professional achievement and philanthropic support to many worthy causes.

The chamber will also present its President'sAward toMonmouth University for embarking upon an extensive renovation of the Lauren W. Woods Theatre on its West Long Branch campus.

Brookdale Community College will be awarded this year's Invest in Long Branch Award for refurbishment of its Long Branch Higher Education Center on Broadway.
