Future architects
Over the last few years the Long Branch School district has been building new schools for the students. The construction of the new buildings has inspired a group of future architects at the Morris Avenue School, according to a press release from the district.

First-grade students Juan Castro, Rebeca Valdes, Odeli Perez, Jahmier Roberts, Erica Santos and Antonio Rivera admire their house of carbs … and other good things.
The students decided to make a few new buildings of their own. It took over a week for the students to develop a design, set a planning and construction schedule and acquire the materials, according to the release.

The students constructed healthful houses made from wheat bread, cheese, carrots, mini-wheats, bean sprouts and broccoli. The houses were on display at the school until Jan. 8.
