Thompson honored by business federation

Assemblyman Sam Thompson (R-13) has received the Guardian of Small Business Award from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) in recognition of his outstanding efforts to support small-business issues in the New Jersey Legislature.

"Assemblyman Thompson has championed a number of issues that are crucial to the survival of small businesses in New Jersey," said Laurie Ehlbeck, state director of NFIB/New Jersey.

Thompson had a 100 percent voting record with NFIB this past legislative session. During his tenure in the Assembly, Thompson impressed small-business owners with legislation to improve healthcare and reduce property taxes.
