Mary C. Cain

Mrs. Cain, 85, of Ocean, died Dec. 16, 2007, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She resided inAnnArbor,Mich., and Tinton Falls before relocating to Ocean. She was president of the Tinton Falls Garden Club, chaired committees for the New Jersey Garden Club and the National Garden Club, and was active in maintaining the gardens at Marlboro State Hospital. Mrs. Cain was predeceased by her first husband, Dr. Martin J. Cain Jr., D.D.S., in 1990; her husband,Arthur Ornellas, in 2004; a brother, John Kelly, in 2004; and a granddaughter, Monica Gersitz, in 1978. She is survived by a son,Martin J. Cain III ofArundel, Maine; two daughters, Loretta Cain of Long Branch and Catherine Varallo of Chadds Ford, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery,Middletown.Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
