McLoone's, Turning Point recognized for generosity

The LADACIN Network, formerly known as Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth & Ocean Counties Inc., recognized the generosity and community spirit of five local restaurants, including McLoone's Pier House Restaurant in Long Branch and the Turning Point in Long Branch Holmdel, Manalapan and Little Silver.

The restaurants are Medallion Club members in LADACIN Network's "Eat, Drink and Be Caring" fundraising program, and the restaurants agree to host fundraising days and donate a portion of their profits to benefit the LADACIN Network.

In less than two years, Medallion Club restaurants have raised over $15,000 to benefit infants, children and adults with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities living in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

In addition to McLoone's and the Turning Point, also recognized at a Nov. 15 plaque presentation by LADACIN were Windansea in Highlands, Mulligan's Bar and Grill in Farmingdale and The Porch in Spring Lake.

LADACIN is a nonprofit agency that provides education, therapy, residential, social and support services to infants, children and adults with developmental and multiple physical disabilities. The agency was established in 1949 and currently serves 2,500 individuals and their families in the twocounty area.

For more information or to inquire about becoming a Medallion Club restaurant, call (732) 493-5900.
