Three men suspected of drug crimes
LONG BRANCH - Two Long Branch men and a Neptune man are facing several drug charges after an investigation by the Long Branch Police Department's Street Crimes Unit.
Police arrested and charged Paterson Lavarin, 23, of Franklin Avenue, with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute, possession with intent within a school, possession within 500 feet of a park, and possession of drug paraphernalia on Dec. 3, according to police reports.
Police seized approximately 91 decks of heroin and a quantity of crack and powder cocaine, and Lavarin's bail was set at $40,000 with no 10 percent option, according to reports.
Also arrested as part of the investigation by the Street Crimes Unit was Jasmin Bracero, 21, of Franklin Avenue. Bracero was charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS within a school zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to police reports.
Bracero was released on a summons, according to reports.
Police also arrested Davidson Desir of Green Grove Road in Neptune and charged himwith possession of CDS and conspiracy to distribute CDS, according to reports.
Police also seized $2,117 in cash from Desir's car, according to reports,which state that Desir was released on a summons.
In an unrelated investigation, the Street Crimes Unit also arrested Lynette Corbett, 43, of Ellis Avenue, and charged her with possession of 23 decks of heroin, according to reports.
Police also arrested John Tillman, 63, of EllisAvenue, and charged himwith possession of eight pieces of crack cocaine, according to reports. Both Corbett and Tillman were released on summonses, according to reports.
