Monmouth Medical Center to host programs in Dec.

The Saint Barnabas Health Care System at Monmouth Medical Center will be offering several programs for the community this month, including the "One-Day Childbirth Program," which will be held on Dec. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the hospital.

The childbirth program costs $179 per couple and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. The program is a complete childbirth course in one day geared for highly motivated participants with busy lifestyles or fluctuating scheduled unable to commit to a five-week program. The hospital will also be holding "Living with Early Stage Breast Cancer" on Dec. 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Goldsmith Wellness Center on the fourth floor of the hospital. The free support group is for women patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Registration is required. For more information, call (732) 923-6952.

On Dec. 20 from 7:30-9 p.m., the hospital will be hosting the free "Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) Adult Support Group" for ADD adults and their significant others. For more information on the ADD program, call Dr. Robert LoPresti at (732) 842-4553.

Monmouth Medical Center's Specialty Clinic at 270 Broadway in Long branch will be offering free HIV testing and counseling Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by walk-in or by appointment. For more information or to schedule a free, confidential appointment, call (732) 923-7138.
