New leaf pickup schedule in Ocean Township

The township of Ocean has extended it's fall leaf pickup scheduled due to a significant amount of leaves that still need to be disposed of in the municipality, Mayor William Larkin said last week.

The new schedule calls for leaves to be picked up by the Ocean Township Public Works Department on the following dates:

• Dec. 10 through 15 in zone 4, located east of Highway 35 and south of Deal Road

• Dec. 17 through 22 in zone 1, located west of Highway 35 and north of Deal Road

• Dec. 26 through Jan. 4 in zone 2, located north of Deal Road and Roseld Avenue

Township residents must place leaves at the curb one week prior to the scheduled pickup date for their zones, according to the schedule.
