Gladys McGauran Mrs. McGauran, 83, of Monmouth Beach, died Nov. 20, 2007, at Imperial Health Care Center, Neptune. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Elizabeth and Lakewood prior to relocating to Monmouth Beach 16 years ago. She was a retired switchboard/telephone operator at AT&T and Bell Telephone. She was also employed by the Visiting Homemakers of New Jersey. She was a parishioner of and member of the Rosary Sodality at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. She was a member of the Sandpipers Club, Monmouth Beach. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. McGauran in 1978; and a son, Tim in 1997. She is survived by five sons, James Jr., Bryan, Sean, Michael and William; five daughters, Maureen Stillwell, Kathleen, Eileen, Colleen and Kerry Ann; two brothers, Dennis and George O'Connor; two sisters, Mildred McMahon and Emma Thorup; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Church of the Precious Blood. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. |
