Police recover gun after fight among juveniles

LONG BRANCH - A Neptune juvenile was arrested last week on gun possession charges after being involved in a fight in the city.

Police arrested and charged the 17- year-old male with possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and terroristic threats Nov. 30, according to police reports.

Police responded to an apartment complex on West End Avenue after receiving a report of a fight involving approximately four people, according to reports.

The caller told police that four people, one armed with a gun, had entered an apartment in her complex, according to reports.

Upon investigation at the scene of the fight, police located four male juveniles and recovered a .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun, according to reports.

The gun was not loaded at the time of recovery and no injuries were reported, according to reports, which state that all four males involved in the fight are Neptune residents.
