Nonprofit seeks donations of used, workable cars

MonmouthCares of West Long Branch, a nonprofit organization, is accepting donations of used, working cars with fewer than 150,000 miles through its "Family Lift" program.

The donated cars are repaired and then distributed to families who are struggling to keep a job, work longer hours, find a job outside public transportation routes and drive children to medical appointments or afterschool activities. Cash donations are also accepted to defray costs of repairs and maintenance.

Donors of used cars are eligible for a tax deduction of full market value. For more information, call (732) 222-8008.
