MU to host Dept. of Corrections program

Monmouth University is scheduled to host "Project Pride" Dec. 10 from 5-6 p.m. in Pollak Theatre on the West Long Branch campus.

Project Pride is a program run through the state Department of Corrections, which sends inmates into universities and schools to talk to students about the wrong choices they have made and the resulting consequences.

Three inmates will share their stories of how their decisions around alcohol and other drugs have changed their lives forever and landed them in jail. This program is free and open to the public.

For more information, call Suanne Schaad, Monmouth University substance abuse coordinator at (732) 263-5804.
