Long Branch students perform at board meeting

Students at the Amerigo A. Anastasia School attended the Nov. 14 public meeting of the Long Branch Board of Education to put on a performance in remembrance of Veterans Day.

The students carried flags, signed American-themed songs, tap-danced and a choir sang while the school's band performed.

"For those of you who could not make the Veterans Day services this past weekend, don't worry as we have a special show for you tonight," Loretta Johnson, principal of the Anastasia School, said at the meeting.

"Keeping in mind that November is for veterans, we present patriotism and civic responsibility for your enjoyment," she said.

Each month a different school is selected to attend the board meeting.
