Blanche Rita Coyle Acerra

Mrs. Acerra, 79, of Long Branch, died Nov. 13, 2007, at home. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Union prior to relocating to Long Branch. She was a cosmetician at West End Family Pharmacy, West End section of Long Branch for 26 years, retiring in 2006. Prior to that, she was a cosmetician at Hollywood Pharmacy and Homestead Pharmacy, Long Branch. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, and member of the church's Older and Weiser Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and making Christmas ornaments. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Coyle. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Salvatore Sam Acerra; two sons, Steven Acerra of Brick, and James Acerra of San Francisco; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Glenn White of Laurel, Md., Mary and Salvatore Zagara of Brick, and Diane Acerra of Long Branch; three brothers, William Coyle of Middletown, John Coyle of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Robert Coyle of Carolina Shores, N.C.; seven sisters, Kathryn Wood of West Long Branch, Claire Coughlin of New York, Joan Feldman of Long Branch, Dorothy Wood of New Port Ritchie, Fla., Mary Gladstone of Eatontown, Margaret McGirr of Long Branch, and Alice Mansfield of Oceanport; three grandsons; and a great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Church. Burial was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Fiore Funeral Home, West Long Branch.
