'Matawan Turkey Trot' 5K, fitness walk Nov. 24

The second annual "Matawan Turkey Trot 5K" race and fitness walk will be Nov. 24 beginning at Terhune Park, Main and Broad streets. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m., followed by the race at 10 a.m. A free kiddie dash will follow the race.

The 5K course includes flat terrain to moderate hills through Matawan. Following the race will be DJ entertainment, refreshments and an awards ceremony. Cost is $20 which includes a long sleeve T-shirt.

Proceeds benefit the refurbishment of Matwan's parks.
