Annual Tietjen Memorial fundraiser Nov. 17

The fifth annual Kenneth Tietjen Memorial Foundation fundraiser will be held Nov. 17, 6:30-10:30 p.m., at Buttonwood Manor, 835 Route 34, Matawan.

The event will feature music, food, drink specials, bagpipers, prizes, raffles and more. Donation is $10, and attendees bringing a bicycle, LeapPad or other new gift will be admitted free of charge.

The nonprofit was created to honor the memory of Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Officer Ken Tietjen who died on 9/11. The foundation provides gifts and aid to underprivileged children in Monmouth County. For more information, call (732) 583-1304.
