Fair trade show at Fair Haven church Nov. 13-15

Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven, will host a fair trade show and sale Nov. 13-15 from 3-9 p.m.

Fair trade commerce encourages acknowledging and buying goods that provide a just wage to individuals worldwide, and support indigenous craftsmen and women worldwide. Two nonprofits, Ten Thousand Villages and Morris Fork Crafts Inc. will provide handicrafts for the event. Ten Thousand Villages markets products from cultures of Third World countries.

Morris Forks is an Appalachian crafts cooperative based in Kentucky, and offers hand-stitched quilts, aprons, vests, woven rugs, dolls and wooden items such as toys and birdhouses. Eighty percent of the selling price is returned to the crafters.

For more information, call (732) 741- 1714, ext. 26.
