Scouts to host 'Taste of the Holidays' Nov. 5

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Farmingdale, will present "Taste of the Holidays" Nov. 5 at Jumping Brook Country Club, Neptune.

Local restaurants taking part in the event include the Melting Pot, Red Bank, and Suzi's Sweet Shop of Middletown. The Wine Room of Manalapan will provide samples of homemade wine.

There will be a silent auction featuring prizes such as weekend getaways, gift certificates, and gift baskets. The Scouts' 2008 "Women of Distinction" will also be in attendance.

Tickets are $60. Proceeds support local Girl Scout programs. For more information, call (800) 785-2090.
