Topics to be discussed include city lighting and snow removal refunds for 2006 to 2007, an update on Ocean Avenue and pollution in waterways from the Monmouth Park racetrack. Vaccines will be available for residents over the age of 18 at a cost of $25. Medicare Part B is accepted as payment with proof; no other insurances will be accepted. Appointments are not necessary. There will be a gift auction as well as chances to win tickets to a NY Giants game. The flea market is being hosted by the Gregory School PTA. Santa Claus will be at the event to distribute toys to children and a turkey dinner will be served. There will also be donated clothes and those who attend may take what they need. New, unwrapped toys for babies, toddlers, children and teens can be donated at True Fitness & Physical Therapy on Cooper Avenue at the Promenade Beach Club Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. up until Dec. 24. The presenter is Dr. Henry Kong MD, a physician in private practice in Toms River. Kong was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 31. He authored the book "More Self than Self: At Autism's Edge" - a book about his life and experience growing up feeling socially isolated and out of place. The book also addresses the science of Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. The presentation is an hour followed by a question and answer session and a book signing. This program will be of interest to professionals and educators in the field who work with Autism spectrum disorders as well as individuals from the public who may be affected by Asperger's and Autism.
