Nathan Fishman

The Long Branch Public Library honored Nathan Fishman in a surprise reception at the Elberon Branch Library on July 26. In attendance was Mayor Adam Schneider, who presented Fishman with a City Council proclamation declaring July 26 as Nathan Fishman Day in Long Branch.

Recognized as an outstanding supporter of the Elberon Library, Fishman has been instrumental in initiating the transition of the Elberon private library to a branch of the Long Branch Free Public Library, according to a press release from the public library.

Fishman has spearheaded fundraising activities and has raised over $135,000 toward the renovation of the library, according to the release. He also established the toddler program as well as the "Meet the Doctors," "Meet the Mayors" and "Meet the Lawyers" programs at the library.
