L.B. jazz fest takes place Sept. 1

LONG BRANCH - The 2007 Long Branch Jazz & Blues Festival (formerly known as Beachfest) will take place Saturday, Sept. 1, from 1-10 p.m. on the Great Lawn/Promenade.

The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation, in conjunction with the City of Long Branch Urban Enterprise Zone, produces this family fun-filled day that features seven bands, food and craft vendors, children's activities and fireworks.

The schedule is:

1 p.m., JSJBF Jazz & Blues Youth Project

1:45 p.m., Parreott Ensemble (jazz)

3 p.m., Ryan Hartt & The Blue Hearts (swing/jump/blues)

4:15 p.m., The Sean Carney Band (blues)

5:30 p.m., Andrea Brachfeld & Phoenix Rising Latin Band (Latin jazz)

6:45 p.m., The FINS (R&B/blues)

8 p.m., Roxy Perry NY Blues Queen (blues)
