The event will feature amateur singers, selected through karaoke nights at local bars. The qualifiers will perform on the field in front of celebrity judges from sponsoring radio stations with the winner receiving a series of prizes including the chance to sing the national anthem at a 2008 BlueClaws game. Each bar will have two singers as representatives in the "Battle of the Bars."
