Globe Hotel won its third consecutive A Division title in Monmouth County by a 10-9 score over Higgins, winning in two games in the best of three championship series. Woodbridge's Phil Hewett drove home three runs with a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly; while Sayreville's Jay Majewski's single and a sac fly drove home two. Steve Toth of Keansburg was on base all three times up and scored twice. Farmingdale's John Masterson pitched the complete game win.

Globe did its offensive damage in the third inning, scoring six runs. The first seven batters got on base by singles, except for Toth, who accepted a walk. Even when Globe made outs, they were productive; as they had three sac flies mixed in with their 17 hits. Every Globe batter contributed at least one hit, but Higgins' pitching stifled the Globe hitters completely in the second, fifth and sixth innings.

The first four Globe batters scored seven runs but the fifth through 12th batters could manage just three.
