Stop the Fort Monmouth blunder

The letter written by The Rev. Kevin Keelen about "We the people" reflects my sentiments exactly! I could not have said it better.

Locally, it's all the things he mentions but also the entire fiasco about closing Fort Monmouth. Just when we need every brain available (and there are quite a few here at Fort Monmouth), every person experienced in the electronic surveillance equipment to help our armed forces, "the powers that be" have decided to dismember the entire facility. They've decided to move all of that to Aberdeen, Md.

So far, a lot of money has already been spent on how to do it, what to do, etc. In the meantime, everything is on hold. That's just terrible. The money is flowing out, not saving a dime.

Nobody seems to be listening. No one is willing to say that it might very well have been a major mistake to close this facility, whether now, or in the future. All politics, and apparently no common sense. Isn't there anyone who can stop this blunder?
