Long Branch should preserve 'green road'

I am responding to the July 5 letter, "Keep 'green road' free of traffic" with great appreciation to the writer for her enthusiasm and interest in Long Branch's recreational park on Ocean Avenue. This "green road" is a community gem.

Four generations of my family have enjoyed spending their summers recreating on this site. It provides a safe haven for all of our community to enjoy as well. They walk, exercise or bike while appreciating the scenic traffic-free shoreline.

I'm petitioning our city government to value and respect this precious space. It is truly the gem of our shoreline.

It's important to maintain this site. Presently, our community enjoys its use and it holds the potential of rich experiences for future generations.
