Ocean Avenue park needs to be kept traffic free

Who are Mayor Adam Schneider and the City Council of Long Branch representing? Certainly not the citizens of Long Branch! I'm a resident in the city and I along with concerned citizens am trying to stop the plans to open the green acres linear park on Ocean Avenue to traffic.

Take a walk on this stretch of road or visit the beaches and talk to the people. I have. They don't want traffic on this recreational site. Thousands of people have signed a petition to keep Ocean Avenue traffic free. They want this space preserved as a recreational resource for public use and enjoyment.

Many people spoke up at the past few City Council meetings in support of keeping the road traffic free. In the meantime, supporters of the city's proposal to open the road to traffic seem to be a nonentity. So again, I ask, who are Mayor Schneider and the City Council representing?
