A new U9 MOSA soccer team will be holding tryouts at the soccer fields behind Monmouth Park in Oceanport on July 21 at 10 a.m. The is the MOSA Peninsula Atlantic Eagles team. For more information, call Craig at (732) 666-1881.

The Jersey Shore Surf defeated the Holmdel Hammerheads to win the 11U division of the War At the Bayshore Tournament. The surf scored two runs in the sixth for the win. The Surf are Mason Gaetano, Cory Martin, Kevin Reilly, Vince Gallo, John Johnson, Austin Tirei, Chris Tierney, Mike Barber, Jack Smallwood, Matt Kurdewan, Bruce Strickland, Brendan Corrigan, Sam Lorenzo and Adam Sheridan. The coaches are Tom Gallo, Ken Martin, John Johnson and head coach Joe Gaetano
