Lois L. Nicola
Mrs. Nicola, 67, died June 26, 2007, at Meridian Nursing & Rehabilitation at Red Bank. Born in Brewer, Maine, she had resided in Brick before moving to Long Branch two years ago. She was employed as a housekeeper at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Mrs. Nicola was predeceased by her mother, Irene Gonyer. She is survived by a son, David J. Nicola of Long Branch, with whom she lived. Entombment took place at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. The John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements. Mae Marshowsky
Mrs. Marshowsky, 87, of Sanford, Fla., died July 1, 2007, at Lakeland (Fla.) Hospital. Born in Jersey City, she had resided in Hazlet before relocating to Sanford three years ago. She was a caregiver at Brookdale Nursing Home, Hazlet, and Navesink House, Red Bank, for several years. Mrs. Marshowsky was a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4303, West Keansburg section of Hazlet. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Marshowsky, in 1978, and a sister, Helen Slover. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jennifer Bodtmann of Montgomery, Texas, and Michael and Marian Marshowsky of Sanford, Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John DiCapua of Jackson; a brother, Melvin Stewart of Florida; a sister, Joan Stegeman of Ocean; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, followed by burial at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
Tami Mazurkewicz
Mrs. Mazurkewicz, 32, of Brick, died July 4, 2007, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Long Branch, she resided in Wall prior to relocating to Brick three years ago. She was employed by Merry Maids, Brick. She is survived by a son, Tyler Abrams; her mother, Laurie Maccioli of Brick; two sisters, Toni Maccioli of Toms River, and Leann Maccioli of Brick; a brother-in-law, Joe Martinez; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Malcolm A. Davis
Mr. Davis, 79, of Long Branch, died July 5, 2007, at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. Born in Boston, he was a resident of the shore area for 50 years. He was a self-employed maintenance worker. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jennie May Parker-Davis; a nephew; and several nieces. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
Anthony "Tut" Sirianni
Mr. Sirianni, 78, of Long Branch, died July 8, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Calabria, Italy, he came to the United States with his family at age 1, and was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. He owned Sirianni's Friendly Café, West End section of Long Branch, for 53 years. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a grand knight of Knights of Columbus Council No. 335, Long Branch, and served as faithful navigator of Bishop McFaul Assembly, 4th Degree. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie DeNapoli Sirianni; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Rev. Sam Sirianni and Michael Sirianni, both of Long Branch; Rev. Anthony Sirianni of Port Murray; and Joseph and Ann Marie Sirianni of the Elberon section of Long Branch; a sister, Susie Falvo of Ocean; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael's Church. interment was at Mount Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. Arrangements were by Hoffman Funeral Home, Long Branch.
