Navesink River Rowing (NRR), a nonprofit organization founded in 1983 to help educate the public on all aspects of rowing, will sponsor a free event to introduce the community to the exciting sport of rowing. NRR is teaming up with US Rowing and will host a fun-filled morning during which participants can try out rowing shells, tour the boatyard, and meet with NRR members. The event will be held on Saturday, June 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at the foot of Maple Avenue, on the Navesink River (adjacent to the new Hovnanian headquarters on Maple Avenue) For more on NRR, visit www.navesinkriverrowing.org
