'Sail Into Summer' brunch June 24

The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County will hold its ninth annual "Sail Into Summer" brunch June 24 at 11 a.m. at the Mill in Spring Lake Heights.

The Center will honor volunteers Barry Shapiro and Diane Turton with Community Commitment from the Heart Awards. Shapiro is a licensed certified public accountant and a partner in the Red Bank office of WithumSmith&Brown. He is active in the American Cancer Society, and Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch, and instrumental in establishing the West Long Branch Sports Association.

Realtor Diane Turton recently celebrated 40 years in the real estate business. She sits on boards such as Friends of Dottie's House, and the American Red Cross, Jersey Coast Chapter. She also supports holiday toy drives and scholarships donated annually to local schools.

For more information on the brunch, call Linda at (732) 222-9111 or e-mail LSteel@fcsmonmouth.org.
