Swap a losing proposition for users of Green Acres stretch

I have been riding a bicycle along the oceanfront in Long Branch for over 30 years.

On the stretches closed to traffic due to Green Acres designation, in addition to cyclists, the roadway is enjoyed by dog walkers, rollerbladers, skateboarders, people who use electric wheelchairs, etc. It is arguably the best ocean view in Monmouth County.

If the city truly believes that substituting the "bike path" (which appears to be a sidewalk to the naked eye) along Ocean Boulevard is a fair "swap" for a roadway closed to traffic with an ocean view, then I have a solution to the eminent domain problem.

"Swap" a parcel of land further inland (preferably somewhere in Pennsylvania) to build the ugly condominiums, and leave the good folks of MTOTSA right where they are. Who needs an ocean view, anyway?
