Chorus to perform at Monmouth University

Liberty Oak Chorus, the award-winning, Freehold-based chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI), will perform at the Pollack Theatre, Monmouth University, West Long Branch, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. The annual event is an exciting showcase of a cappella music featuring crowd-pleasing songs by Quest, an SAI quartet, as well as captivating musical selections from the Mirror Image and Chain Reaction quartets. Special guests for the evening will be the OCVTS Performing Arts Academy Vocal Ensemble, a group of talented high school age students from Ocean County, under the direction of Mary Huhmann.

SCAN health and

fitness fair May 9

SCAN Learning Center, Monmouth Mall, Eatontown, will hold its second annual health and fitness fair May 24 from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the rotunda area near the mall's food court. The free event will feature approximately 25 senior service exhibitors, giveaways and door prizes.

Hot meal offered at

area church May 11

United Fellowship Baptist Church, 603 Third Ave., Asbury Park, will provide a hot meal free-of-charge May 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and the second Friday of each month thereafter.
