Marianna Piccolo Gencarelli

Mrs. Gencarelli, 53, of Middletown, died April 5, 2007, at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. born in Staten Island, she resided there prior to relocating to Middletown seven years ago. She was a secretary at Monmouth Beach Board of Education. She was predeceased by a daughter, Arianna Gencarelli; and her parents, Maria and Joseph Piccolo. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, George Gencarelli; a daughter, Bethany Gencarelli of Middletown; a son, George J. Gencarelli of Union City; and a brother, Michael Piccolo of Long Branch. Burial was at Ocean View - The Cemetery Beautiful, Oakwood Heights, Staten Island. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

Kathleen R. Keil

Mrs. Keil, 50, of Ocean Township, died April 5, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, having courageously endured many years of complex health challenges. She was born in Hoboken and had resided in Ocean Township for the past 27 years. A graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School, she was employed as a legal secretary and a paralegal in several law offices. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Anselm, Wayside, and also taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD). Mrs. Keil was predeceased by her father, James J. Rudd, in 1977. Surviving are her husband, Richard M. Keil; two daughters, Samantha Rose Keil, at home, and Stephanie Selina Keil of Garfield; her mother, Eileen Rudd of Sayreville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Richard Bork of Brick, and Pegeen and Jeffrey Firestine of South River; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith and Gypsy Rudd of Jeannette, Pa., and James Rudd of Old Bridge; a niece and seven nephews; and lifelong friend Marilyn Zicha. A memorial service and tribute will be held at 2 p.m. April 15 at the Church of St. Anselm, 1028 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls.

Robert Timothy "RT" Brazill

Mr. Brazill, 22, of North Beach, Long Beach Island, died March 31, 2007. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Ocean Township, Long Beach Island, and Mayetta prior to relocating to North Beach. He was in partnership with his father of Captain Brazill's Marine, Long Beach Island, where he was a marine surveyor and boat hauler. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asbury Park. He received his certificate in yacht and small craft surveying from Chapman School of Seamanship, Stuart, Fla. He was a member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors. He attended Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. He had been active in the Wanamassa Cub Scouts, Wanamassa section of Ocean Township. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, John H. Stewart and Robert J. Brazill. He is survived by his parents, Bonnie Stewart Brazill of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, Robert C. Brazill of North Beach; a brother, Sean of North Beach; a sister, Kathleen Brazill of Oakhurst; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Stewart of Tinton Falls; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Brazill of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church. Arrangements were by Kedz Funeral Home, Toms River. Memorial donations may be made to Bonnie Brazill, 4 Garfield Ave., Oakhurst 07755. Donations will be made in Mr. Brazill's name to a young girl born with the same medical condition and in need of a kidney transplant.

William Walter Macko

Mr. Macko, 60, of Sayreville, died March 6, 2007, in Willow Creek Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. His father, Alex Macko, died in 1982. Surviving are his mother, Stella Samuel Macko of Sayreville; a sister, Patricia Cejner of Long Branch; a brother, Robert Macko of Wall; and five nieces and nephews, Christine Gozick, Andrea Sanchez, Joanne Cejner, Jill Macko and Timothy Macko. Services were held at Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville. Cremation was private.

Robert Joseph Holiday Sr.

Mr. Holiday, 72, of Red Bank, died April 17, 2007 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick, following a lengthy battle with a medical condition. He was a lifelong resident of Red Bank. He was a freelance sign painter. Prior to that, he was employed at the New Jersey Highway Authority, Maintenance Division for several years, retiring in 1972. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of Red Bank Fire Department for more than 50 years, serving as its chief in 1985. He served as a New Jersey State Fireman's Delegate. He was Democratic County Committeeman in his district in the 1970s, and was a past president of the Red Bank Democratic Club. His memberships included the International Fire Chief's Association, Monmouth County Fire Chief's Association, Red Bank Fire Prevention Bureau, and Fireman's Relief Association. He enjoyed classic cars. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Pelella Holiday; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert J. and Denise Holiday Jr., and Joseph R. Holiday and Marylin Phillips, all of Red Bank; a daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and James Macaluso of Red Bank; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Kenneth L. Walker Jr. of Little Silver; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sheryl Pelella of Clarksburg, Va.; and six grandchildren. Entombment was at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.

Nathan Joseph Tomaino

Mr. Tomaino, 75, of Shrewsbury, died April 20, 2007, at home, following a battle with cancer. He was a crossing guard for Shrewsbury Borough for 12 years, retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he was a master sergeant with the HHC 2-114th Infantry, retiring in 1991. He also served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, from 1950 to 1954. Mr. Tomaino was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 168, Red Bank. He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Bruno; and two sisters, Mary Tomaino and Jenny Rowe. Mr. Tomaino is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Brown Tomaino; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Nathan Tomaino of Shrewsbury, and John and Patricia Tomaino of Red Bank; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rose Marie Lister and Angie Fedor, both of Eatontown, and Patricia and Paul Serafino of the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Karole Tomaino of Reidsville, N.C., Joseph and Gladys Tomaino of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, and Richard and Carolyn Tomaino of Middletown; a sister-in-law, Carmella Brown of the River Plaza section of Middletown; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Anthony's Church, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Paul J. O'Donnell

Mr. O'Donnell, 55, of Rumson and Seaside Park, died April 19, 2007, at home. Born in Madison, he resided in San Diego, Calif., prior to relocating to New Jersey. He was a litigation specialist at York Insurance company, Freehold, and involved in the insurance industry for more than 30 years. He was an avid surfer and traveled worldwide to pursue surfing. He was predeceased by his father, John J. O'Donnell; and a sister, Maureen. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lewis O'Donnell; two sons, Murphy and Jake O'Donnell, both of Rumson; his mother, Dorothy O'Donnell of Madison; three brothers, Jack of Frankford, of Ky., Kevin of New York City, and Robert of Madison; two sisters, Christine of Lambertville, and Mary Ann of Basking Ridge; and several nieces and nephews. AF Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. Arrangements were by Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank.
