District will register kindergarten, 1st grade OCEAN TOWNSHIP - - The school district will hold a second round of registration for children who will enter kindergarten or first grade in September 2007 May 2-4, 9-11:30 a.m., at each of the district's three elementary schools. A child must be 5 years of age by Oct. 15, 2007, in order to be eligible for school in September. The child should be present at this registration. Records that must be presented at the time of registration are: + An official birth certificate. A hospital birth certificate is not acceptable; + Record of immunizations from the child's physician; + Proof of residency in the form of a lease, deed, property tax bill or contract of sale and a utility bill. For apartments, you must also obtain a residence verification form from the management office. Registration packets will be available for pickup in the main office on Friday, April 13. If parents/guardians cannot attend the registration on May 2-4, they can take the child to one of the following schools to register them at a later date. Please call in advance, so that the necessary staff can be assembled to assist in the registration process. Contact the schools with any questions.
